Join us for a five-course Italian Long Lunch in celebration of International Women’s Day. Long tables, beautiful food and an afternoon designed for connection.

A Curated Five-Course Italian Experience

Inspired by heritage and seasonal produce, indulge in la dolce vita with a curated menu of classic Italian dishes - just as they are shared around long tables in Italy.

Held in the heart of our restaurant, this special event takes place in our Lower Dining Room - our main dining space overlooking Cruickshank Reserve. With beautiful natural light, bifold windows and a bright, contemporary feel, the space offers an inviting setting for long communal tables designed to encourage connection and conversation.

With Italian music in the background and prosecco served throughout the afternoon, this long lunch is designed for celebration and shared moments amongst friends. 

Hosted by Kristy, our Functions Manager, whose own Italian heritage helped shape the vision for this event, alongside Cristian Carbone - formerly Head Chef at Maylands Hotel and now Kitchen Operations Manager for the Matthews Hospitality Group - whose passion for authentic Italian cuisine was inspired by his nonna and the matriarchs of traditional kitchens.

THE MENU

  • Sourdough filone crostini with whipped ricotta, blue gum honey, extra virgin olive oil and basil
    Crumbed stuffed green olives with black garlic aioli.

  • Wagyu bresaola and fennel soppressata antica, Jersey milk burrata, blood orange, toasted hazelnuts, aged balsamic and roasted garlic focaccia
    Insalata di polpo with Sicilian green olives, fava beans and lemon
    Sun-dried tomato e caciocavallo arancini with sugo di pomodoro

  • Venetian duck ragu with fresh pappardelle and Parmigiano Reggiano
    Zucchini blossom and green pea mezze maniche with lemon, mint and Pecorino Romano

  • Chicken saltimbocca with prosciutto San Daniele, sage and white wine jus
    Braised forest mushrooms with creamy truffled polenta and Parmigiano Reggiano

  • Endive, radicchio and fennel with white wine vinaigrette
    Roman artichoke and broccolini with bocconcini and toasted almonds

  • A selection of continental pastries
