Celebrate Oktoberfest at the Maylands Hotel from 1–31 October
Oktoberfest has landed at the Maylands Hotel, and for the whole month of October our chefs are serving up a menu of Bavarian favourites made for long lunches, catch-ups with mates and a few steins along the way.
Start with a Pretzel
Every good Oktoberfest begins with a Bayerische Brezel. Ours is a giant oven-baked pretzel served with mustard butter, golden and chewy and big enough to pass around the table while you settle in.
Mains Worth Raising a Glass To
If you're bringing a crowd, the Wurstplatte is the one to order. This sharing platter loads up char-grilled Bratwurst, cheese Kransky and Vienna sausage with sauerkraut, Swabian potato salad, a giant pretzel, bier gravy and Beerenberg mustards. It's everything you love about Oktoberfest, on one board.
For something a little more classic, our German Sausages and Mash pairs char-grilled Bratwurst and cheese Kransky with creamy potato mash, charred baby broccoli, sauerkraut and rich bier gravy, finished with Beerenberg mustard.
Prefer seafood? The Marktfrischer Fisch brings a lighter take on the season: pan-seared market fish on Spätzle with caramelised onions, mustard cream sauce, asparagus, green oil and a squeeze of lemon.
Save Room for Strudel
No Bavarian feast is complete without Apfelstrudel. Ours is served warm, dusted with cinnamon sugar and paired with vanilla bean ice cream, the perfect sweet finish.
